Description

Electronic Thermostat Digital Pulse

This very exact “Thermotronic” thermostat is a proportional controller. This means when you switch on the thermostat the heating will work 100% till just before the temperature has reached the setting point. On that moment the thermostat will give power pulses to the heater to keep the temperature at the same level. This pulsing you can see by the red LED-lamp.

The accuracy of this thermostat is between 0.05 and 0.08 degree Celsius!

In case you don’t reach this accuracy this can have the following courses:

  • thermometer not at same place as the sensor
  •  big difference between the heater and the sensor
  •  heater with too much power!
  •  cabinet with bad isolation

THE THERMOSTAT:

The “Thermotronic” has 2 setting knobs, control 1 and control 2.

control 1: for setting temperature between 28 and 42 degrees Celsius control 2: fine regulation for adjustment less than 1 degrees Celsius

1. The 2 meter power cord with plug is to connect to your power supply (220-240 Volt).

2. The thin round cable with at the end the small NTC sensor is to register the temperature.

3. The third cable of about 1 meter with the 2 connection ends is to connect to the heater.

CONNECTION:

1. Connect the cable as described at point 3 to the heater.

2. Make sure to put the sensor at the right place in the incubator (near the eggs). In case of a still air incubator it is very important to put the sensor at egg level. Also with a forced air incubator it’s better to have the sensor near the eggs.

3. Put the plug into the power supply (220-240 Volt).

4. Set the fine regulation at 50% and use the other (left) knob to set the good temperature.

5. Use the fine regulation for fine adjustment.

Attention: This thermostat is only working with a connected heater or bulbs. Without you won’t see the LED-lamp working

DIGITAL SETTINGS:

The TS-TTD has a digital display. It can be set on °Celsius or °Fahrenheit. You may also calibrate (adjust) the shown temperature. Although the shown temperature is set in the factory in as accurate as possible, it is very important that you check the accuracy of the shown temperature with a precision thermometer. Don’t use for this a cheap thermometer bought in the store next door, but use a special incubation thermometer instead. You may think of a Checkup thermometer or another precise incubation thermometer

Adjusting/ calibrating the temperature and changing from Celsius to Fahrenheit:

1. Press at the same time on both the yellow knobs for at least 3 seconds to enter the settings menu.

2. On the display you can now see “Loc” and a number. Make sure the code 18 is shown on the display. By pressing either the left or the right knob, you can change the number.

3. Now press briefly at the same time on the right and the left knob. The display will show Sc and a default value that should be 0.0. With either the right or the left knob you can change this value. You are changing the temperature that will be displayed. Example: the Thermostat TS-TTD shows a temperature of 37.3 ⁰C and the temperature in your incubator, according to a reliable thermometer, is 37.7 ⁰C. In this case you have to enter at Sc the value 0.4 by pressing on the right knob. In case of negative readings, you will have to press on the left knob.

4. Press again briefly on both the right and the left knob at the same time. The display will show c – F and a default value of 0.0. This are degrees Celsius. By pressing on the right knob you can change this value to 0.1. The reading has been changed into degrees Fahrenheit.

5. Press briefly on both the knobs together now. You have left the settings menu and the actual temperature is shown again on the display.
