Laboratory Grade Heat Treated Aspen Wood Chips for all types of adult desert lizards or snakes.

Instructions:

Spread the ReptiChips over the bottom of the terrarium with a minimum layer thickness of 5 cm for smaller animals and 10 cm thick for large/heavy animals.

Water & food:

Make sure your animals always have fresh water available. ZooMed recommends feeding snakes and lizards in a separate box. This prevents them from accidentally eating the substrate, which can result in blockages and possible death.

Cleaning:

Check the terrarium daily and remove any faeces or other waste. If the terrarium smells bad, replace the bedding. ZooMed recommends replacing the ReptiChips every 3 months.

Tips:

Get a good thermometer and hygrometer. Many desert animals / steppe animals need a moist (shelter) place to prevent dehydration, this is necessary for the respiratory function and the ability to molt properly.
